Giants Blank Cards, Advance to World Series

It’s a tough morning for St. Louis Cardinals fans.

 

The team’s dream of a 12th World Series title in 2012 were washed away on a rainy night in San Francisco, as the Giants pounded the Redbirds 9-0 to win the National League Championship and advance to the World Series.

 

The Cardinals had been up three games to one in that best-of-seven series, but lost three straight to end their season.
