Back at the regular time, Bishop On Air bring you liberty-minded talk from 9 to noon weekdays on 970 WMAY, The News and Talk of Springfield. Don't miss today's show!
News on the March
We'll open the show to get out all the news and perspective you may not find anywhere else in central Illinois. Be it the latest in the cease fire in Gaza, the Ebola outbreak, Illinois news and more, we'll get as much out alongside your phone calls as possible today at the start of Bishop On Air!
National Night Out
There's no Springfield City Council meeting tonight to make way for National Night Out. What is NNO? We'll review some available literature and also brainstorm on how to combat the ongoing problems facing the mean streets of Springfield. Be sure to take part in the conversation today with Bishop On Air!
There may or may not be a new name in the mix for Springfield's mayoral race today. Alderman Cory Jobe is set to "make an announcement regarding his plans for future public office." What does that mean? We'll philosophies about that and also play politico when it comes to how many candidates there are, how many there could be, and what that means for voters in the city of Springfield.
While were' talking politics, we'll also talk state politics. While the two "major parties" candidates for governor try to get viral with some online videos, "non-established" candidates battle to even get on the ballot in the face of unfair and unjust ballot access laws.
