Three hours of liberty-minded talk you won't find anywhere else in central Illinois is with Bishop On Air from 9 to noon on 970 WMAY. Today we'll get out the latest News on the March, hear from the Libertarian candidate for Governor about ballot access, get updated on Chief AJ's case against the Department of Natural Resources plus the FHRITP meme hitting local TV reporters. That's all ahead with the one, the only, Bishop On Air!

News On The March

We'll get a smattering of news out and provide a different perspective about the headlines. Be it the latest on taxes and corporations in Illinois (from taxing retirement income to off shore accounts and how to attract corporations to the state), or new revelations of watchlists in the ongoing Global War on Terror ... we'll get you news and views only found with Bishop On Air. Have something you need to get off your chest, sound off with Bishop On Air by calling 217-629-7970.

Ballot Access

It's no secret to those who have their eyes open to Illinois real politics--republicans and democrats in this state have made it easy for their parties to get on ballots while using the arm of the law to make it extremely burdensome for other parties to access ballots. We'll talk with Libertarian Candidate for Governor Chad Grimm about what his party had to do to get on the ballot. With stories like republican operatives going to the doors of petition signers in what could be interpreted as intimidation, it's clear the Libertarians and other "non-established" parties' fight isn't quite over. We'll talk more just after 9:30.

Chief AJ

The state says his case should be dismissed for lack of showing discrimination but Chief AJ says he needs a federal trial to prove his case. We'll talk with John "Chief AJ" Huffer about the latest filings in his discrimination case. Refresher: Huffer says the state's Department of Natural Resources won't approve his modified slingshot for use in hunting big game like deer because Huffer is Native American. He tried to settle, but claims the state turned him down.

FHRITP

Typing those letters into a search engine will have you stumbling upon a world that is Not Safe For Work, let alone broadcast. We'll dissect the latest craze that has random people finding themselves near a live TV broadcast grabbing the microphone from the broadcaster and saying "f**k her right in the p***y". The most recent case being out of Decatur over the weekend (NSFW audio) that actually found an 18-year-old being charged with batter and disorderly conduct. Where did this all start? Where will it end? We'll break it all down for you today in the 11 o'clock hour! Don't miss it!
