It's another truncated live Saturday Session as Guns 'N Hoses takes over the airwaves at 4:30. Tune in right at 3p CST to hear this week's news broken down like no other show in central Illinois can.
News on the March
Several big things will be our focus as we move through some of the big stories of the week. The first being the ruling from the US Supreme Court about Illinois' Eavesdropping law. Check out the blog from earlier this week with analysis of two Illinois cases that were thrown out. It's amazing that the state would want to continue to enforce the law after the ruling, but you never know ... the state always looks to dominate.
Another big story broke Friday morning concerns the dreaded indefinite detention provision in the National Defense Authorization Act. Getting the initial story from the Associated Press copy early Friday, it appeared that the US Senate actually moved to reverse the provision. But that doesn't seem to be the case. Read yesterday's blog for details. We'll break it down even further on Saturday Session.
We'll also cover some other under-reported or misinformed stories including: Palestinian pseudo statehood, Obama's drone rule book, school teaches that the historic Tea Parties that helped start the American Revolution was act of terror, the latest on Bradley Manning, the CIA sued by family of dosed victim, and so much more!
Don't miss Saturday Session from 3 to 4:30p CST on 970 WMAY, The News and Talk of Springfield. Listen live online at www.WMAY.com.
