Catch Saturday Session this afternoon for the last live show for a while. Tonight, we'll have a special in-studio guest, talk with Larry Pratt from Gun Owners of America, cover psychiatric medications and also rehash a 5-year-old interview. That's ahead when Saturday Session goes live from 3 to 7p CST on 970 WMAY, The News and Talk of Springfield.
We'll open the show to welcome a new friend of the show, Julio Rausseo. You may remember Julio from a few months ago when he was on national radio to expose the TSA appearing to set up shop in Chicago's Union Station. He also updated Saturday Session a few weeks ago about a GMO conference up in Chicago. If you listen to The Alex Jones Show, then surely you've heard Julio as he is a regular caller and corespondent. Julio is in town this weekend and we'll welcome a like-mind for a good conversation.
Gun Owner's of America
Then at 4pm We'll be joined on the phone by Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America. There's a ton to cover with Mr. Pratt. We'll talk about the latest news from the National Rifle Association in the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting, what the GOA's stance is, and the mainstream media's continued attacks and demonization of gun owners. Plus, we'll talk about the recent ruling from the 7th circuit court of appeals that forces Illinois to come up with some kind of carry law. Don't miss this important information.
Psychology and drugs
At some point, we'll air an interview that is part of WMAY's Podium program this week. In that interview, Dr. Steven Soltys talks about the difference of psychiatry and psychology. We also get into the links between violent behavior and psychiatric medications, the drugging of children and more. A very revealing interview with a doctor and professor of psychiatry from Southern Illinois University's School of Medicine, later with Saturday Session.
News on the March
We'll definitely have to cover News on the March, because there is plenty of under-reported stories from this past week. We'll do our best to squeeze in the important news and your phone calls with News on the March beginning at 5pm.
Blast from the past
Then, to wrap up the show, we'll hear segments of an interview from 2007 where Saturday Session talked with Jan Irving and Andrew Rutajit, authors and producers of The Pharacratic Inquisition. The focus will be the astrological meaning of the Christmas story, the alignment of the "three kings" of Orion's belt and more ... prepare to have you minds blown when Saturday Session revisits an interview from the past.
Today will be the last live show, not just of the year, but for the next few weeks. Next week, a best of program will air while Bishop takes time off. Then the next few weeks after that, the NFL playoffs take over the airwaves. To catch up with past Saturday Session programs, be sure to check out the Saturday Session podcast page here.
