Coming up today with Bishop On Air, we're gonna talk smoking, ask "Who is watching the watchers?" and review the NRA's big weekend gathering and President Obama's message to some graduates.
We'll also get into the smoking debate. Believe it or not, but the issue of where people can smoke is back in the news. A bill making its way through the Illinois General Assembly would prohibit smoking on the grounds of universities throughout the state. One local lawmaker says it's gone too far. What do you think?
With the recent scandal concerning police internal affairs files, members of the Springfield City Council have put forth an ordinance for emergency passage that would require all public files up for destruction to be approved for destruction by the City Council. We'll talk with Alderman Sam Cahnman about the proposals just after 11.
Also, We'll talk this past weekend's NRA convention and some comments from President Barack Obama about people warning of possible tyranny and how those people should be avoided.
That, and your phone calls with Bishop On Air from 10 to Noon on 970 WMAY, The News and Talk of Springfield!
