Back at it after a week of filing in for Jim Leach, I'll take over the airwaves from 10 to noon with Bishop On Air! Be sure to tune in over the air on 970 AM or online at www.WMAY.com
Stifle the rifle
We'll start the show talking about how there's a move to redefine certain types of weapons as assault weapons. When Saturday Session was on air, I broke down a very interesting concept from Carol Quigley. You can watch that video below.
We'll revisit that to start the conversation about Lt. Gov. Shelia Simon calling on cities and counties to ban "assault" weapons before they can no longer ... that's right, she is essentially saying "Governments--take all the stuff while you can now before they get their rights." What a shame.
Then we'll talk about liberty vs. privacy vs. security--which is which and what are you willing to give up. It's been stated that people shouldn't be worried about the government knowing what kind of pizza you had. Well, I'd disagree.
Now think about that hypothetical call in the context of Obamacare and stew on that for a bit.
Blowing the whistle
Plus what do you think of whistle-blowers? Should they be prosecuted by law? A leak to a foreign government for money is one thing. Telling the news media or, as is the case with Bradley Manning and Wikileaks, getting massive amounts of info to an organization that vets the info in before posting is vastly different than providing the information to another spy agency. Anybody with top level security clearance willing to provide some more info?
Ventura with Bishop On Air
Close to the end of the show we'll air a portion of my most recent interview with Gov. Jesse Ventura. We talk about the gangs in government, his swimming with whales, his new book on Kennedy (coming out in October, pre-order here) and about his case against dead Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle. What will we hear today? Tune in to find out! Plus, I'll have copies of Ventura's book Democrips and Rebloodlicans: No More Gangs in Government for you to win just by listening to the show!
