Concealed Carry, Pensions and TIFs ... that's all ahead with Bishop On Air. Listen weekdays from 10 to noon on 970 WMAY, The News and Talk of Springfield.
Another Illinois State's Attorney has come out saying they will not prosecute people that have been found to violate the concealed carry ban. Nope, it's not the Sangamon County State's Attorney, but could he join the growing number? We'll talk about a local case of a man who is charged with only one crime--violating the ban on concealed carry. Will John Milhiser continue to prosecute?
This week we'll see a bunch of talk concerning pension reform--something that should have happened weeks ago when the General Assembly was in session. There are several competing proposals out there that all sides say is the best plan. Coming up around 10:45 we'll talk with State Senator Jim Oberweis about his proposed plan.
Tax Increment Financing--Are you in favor? Do you know what it is and how it operates? Do you think there should be a better use of that increased property value? We'll talk TIFs in anticipation of a scheduled vote on $50,000 of Downtown TIF money being used to fund a mural project. Wouldn't that and other money be good for, I don't know, schools?
This and more with Bishop On Air only on 970 WMAY, The News and Talk of Springfield!
