How can we not talk about the recent shakeup at Springfield City Hall, including the top cop Chief Robert Williams and they city's Corporation Counsel Mark Cullen? We'll recap some of the latest developments and also discuss the unanswered questions concerning the ongoing controversy of the destruction of Internal Affairs documents. We'll be joined by Aldermen Joe McMenamin to talk more about the unfolding situation just after 9.

Stand your ground

With Senator Dick Durbin set to have hearings on "Stand Your Ground" laws and President Barack Obama commenting on racial profiling in the wake of a Florida jury acquitting George Zimmerman, maybe it's time to talk about the law, about self defense and race relations in this country. It'll surely be a contentious conversation when we broach the subject today with Bishop On Air.


While the country How should Chicago go about cleaning up the crime? They've already deployed facial recognition technology to use the tens of thousands of surveillance cameras. There has also been talk about deploying the National Guard to some parts of the troubled city. It was reported Friday that "statisticians" have determined "400 people who are most likely to be involved in often-fatal shootings" and they visited them personally.

Big holes

Images showing the suspected Boston Marathon bomber Johar Tsarnaev as he was captured in Watertown in April were released Friday in retaliation to the culture magazine Rolling Stone posting an image of the suspect on their cover. The problem is, the images released of Tsarnaev turning himself in contradicts the story plastered all over the media moments and days afterwards. We'll break down where the breakdown occurs.
