Greg Bishop hosts Bishop On Air from 10 to noon on 970 WMAY, The News and Talk of Springfield. On today's show: GMO Labeling, ATV Tax and The Federal Reserve. That's all ahead with Bishop On Air.
After Crime Stoppers' Crime of the Week we'll talk with State Senator David Koehler about a bill he has introduced concerning the labeling of Genetically Modified Food. Koehler says consumers should know if what they're eating is GMO or not and we'll find out if Koehler is ready for the onslaught of lobbyists that are surely set to fight his efforts. We'll get the specifics from Koehler at the start of the show after Crime Stoppers.
Around every corner, the state seems to be looking for revenue. One of the latest attempts is a tax for ATVs. This won't be a sales tax, but an owner tax. State officials say the revenue stream will be used to create better access to off-road all terrain vehicle trails. We'll hear from a local all terrain vehicle dealer about their thoughts of the tax. We'll also get your take on the whole deal. That's just after 10:30.
Janet Yellen -- President Barack Obama said that he knows so many people that appreciate her work in the Federal Reserve. He may be talking about neo-liberals and neo-conservatives who like fiat money and globalization from above through implementation of central banks, but I think that the vast majority of voters have absolutely no idea what the Fed is or what it does--and that's by design. We'll talk the Fed, and the president's pick of Yellen (pending Senate approval) with Micheal Schussele today just after 11.
Want a fun and easily digestable overview of the evils of the Federal Reserve? Watch this video linked here or press play below. And, be sure to share it with your friends to wake them up to the atrocity.
We can defeat this with awareness and outrage. Let's end the Fed!
