Back after a relaxing weekend, Greg Bishop hosts Saturday Session. Tune in for a review of the latest news on the LAX shooting, remarks about Durbin's chairing of a Stand Your Ground hearing, questions about union influence and we'll even have The Illuminati (Motor Works) in studio. That's all ahead for Monday's edition of Bishop On Air from 10 to noon on 970 WMAY.
LAX shooting fallout
We'll start by evaluating what went down Friday at LAX. The shooting death of a TSA officer, and the wounding of others, is disturbing ... no question about it. But what happens next? Surely there will be a conversation about arming TSA agents, or having more armed security around the area. As for the motives of the suspect? Authorities say they found a note on the suspect that had ramblings against the TSA violating the consitution and even a mention of the Federal Reserve and the NWO. Several media accounts have gone to the Southern Poverty Law Center as an authority on why the suspect acted. SPLC has for years said that right-wing extremists and anti-government rhetoric is heating up. They also like to group those who are critical of big centralized government with racist bigots. Why is the SPLC dangerous? We'll break it down and we'll also criticize the SPLC saying that the New World Order is "a conspiracy theory that holds that forces are trying to create a totalitarian one-world government."
Then we'll start in with criticism of US Senator Dick Durbin ... No, we wont be distracted talking about his invite/reverse-invite to Sacred Heart Griffin--which really doesn't play into his official role as a US Senator, instead we'll criticize his recent chairing of a hearing over various states' Stand Your Ground laws. That was late last week ... you know, where Trayvon Martin's mom testified? We'll hear some of Durbin's comments and question why he has any authority on this issue, haling from a state that still doesn't allow for concealed carry yet has America's new murder capital in Chicago. We'll also delve into Durbin's conspiracy theory about American Legislative Exchange Council helping draft laws across the country. That's just as out there a conspiracy theory as the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission dictating the policies of the Federal Government ...
Just we'll ask the question ... what kind of influence should unions have? Let's open up the phones to your calls ... what do you think the role of unions should be? Should they be there to simply negotiate and secure fair wages and benefits or should they be there to donate and encourage their members to donate to elected leaders who will provide kickbacks to unions? In particular, should unions be the ones to determine what kinds of buisnesses do business in the capital city or even do business with the City of Springfield.
Illuminati Motor Works
Then after 11:30 we'll be joined by Kevin Smith from Illuminati Motor Works. The group from just south of Springfield is making news by making it into a book out tomorrow titled Ingenious by Jason Fagone. The book highlights the ingenuity of the group in creating from the ground up their fully electric vehicle Seven. Want a peak at Seven? Take a look at a video I created a couple of years ago below or at this link. We'll get an update from Kevin and also the author Jason Fagone to find out what's in the book.
