Greg Bishop is back at it with another two hours of live and local talk! Don't miss Bishop On Air from 10 to noon on 970 WMAY, The News and Talk of Springfield. On today's show, we'll talk dog parks, another deposition in the file shred case and also an update on consolidating Springfield's fleet of vehicles under one garage. That's all ahead with Bishop On Air.
At the top of the show, Bishop will talk with Springfield Park Board member Ted Flickinger about tonight's public hearing on a proposed dog park. Mr. Flickinger will provide some more background on the proposed park and what some of the major concerns in the long run are for public funds and for visitors to the park. We'll then open it up for you to comment on the issue of whether Springfield should move forward with a new dog park. That's ahead at the top of the hour.
Springfield Leaks is holding true to their promise of releasing depositions in the Springfield Police Internal Affairs File Shredding Case. The second and latest release is that of Springfield's Police Union President Don Edwards. We'll review the key points from the deposition of Lt. Chris Mueller and then get into some tid-bits from Edwards' QnA. In particular, we'll focus on one bit that comes across super arrogant. Read the deposition for yourself here.
Coming up in the 11 o'clock hour we'll talk garage consolidation with Springfield Alderman Frank Edwards and Budget Director Bill McCarty about the process of consolidating the city's fleet of vehicles under one roof. That's ahead with Bishop On Air. Also, don't forget, there's a Springfield City Council meeting tonight with The Council Roundup going live Wednesday with Bishop On Air!
