Lars Larson got his start in radio at age 16 spinning records (remember 45s?) and reading news, sports and weather (twice an hour) on KTIL from a little cinderblock building on the edge of a cow pasture in Tillamook, Oregon. Twenty-eight years later, he’s only moved 75 miles to the East (Portland) . . . and light years to the "Right." Along the way, Lars has worked for radio stations in Eugene, Spokane and currently NewsRadio 750 KXL in Portland, where he double dares station management to pry him loose. Despite friends who tell him he "has a face made for radio" Lars has worked for local television stations: KVAL in Eugene, KPTV, and KOIN in Portland. Much to his wife Tina’s delight, Lars has picked up several dozen awards, including a couple of television Emmy’s and a Peabody.
