National Guard Unit Coming Back to Springfield

A group of Illinois National Guardsmen is coming back to Springfield this week after being deployed to Kuwait last summer.

 

The 1644th Transportation Company ran numerous missions hauling equipment and cargo around Kuwait and Iraq.

 

About 60 members of the unit will return to Springfield Thursday, they’ll be arriving at Camp Lincoln at around 8 p-m.
