Both the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and a driver are going to be OK after a car crashed into the side of the museum Wednesday morning.
State police say a car driven by 62-year-old Thomas Smith was traveling west on Jefferson when it was struck by a southbound car on 7th Street which had run a red light.
The impact caused Smith to lose control of his vehicle, run up onto the sidewalk and into the side of the presidential museum. Smith was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The exterior of the museum sustained minor damage, but museum operations were not disrupted.
The 71-year-old driver of the other vehicle was ticketed for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device.
