Springfield Police are investigating a report of shots fired from a vehicle in the 1500 block of South 14th.
Four shots were fired toward a house in the midday incident. Witnesses described a small blue vehicle as the car used in the drive-by shooting attempt.
Police stopped a similar vehicle at 11th and Carpenter but it turned out to be a different car. No on was hurt.
Police also turned out for another shooting incident in the 2200 block of East Cedar but it turned out that ammo of choice was paint-balls.
