Schweska Pleads Not Guilty

A Sangamon County Board member has pleaded not guilty to a felony theft charge.

 

Tim Schweska appeared in court this week on charges that he bought thousands of dollars in merchandise for personal use, using a debit card belonging to the Saint Andrew’s Society.

 

Schweska has repaid the money, but announced that he was dropping his re-election bid shortly after the charges came to light.

 

After entering the plea, he was released on his own recognizance, his next court date is set for June 7th.
