Former Miss America Could Replace Johnson

The search for a new Republican candidate in the 13th Congressional District could get a little star power.

 

The Capitol Fax Blog reports former Miss America Erika Harold is interested in being appointed to the ballot vacancy created when Congressman Tim Johnson decided to drop out of the race.

 

Harold won the crown in 2003 and has since been an outspoken advocate for sexual abstinence education and pro-life issues.
