Springfield school board members say they can’t deal too much with the future… until they find some answers to the district’s most immediate budget challenges.
The board is still debating how to make up more than 600-thousand dollars in budget cuts, after voting last month to keep administrative interns whose jobs had been targeted for elimination.
District 1-86 is also carefully watching to see if the state will further cut transportation funding or pass more pension costs on to local schools.
