Area Housing Stats Show Positive Trend

Both home sales and home prices are up in the Springfield area, another sign that the local housing market is rebounding.

 

The Capital Area Association of Realtors says sales of existing homes was up more than five-percent in the first quarter of 2012, compared to the same period a year earlier.

 

And in that same stretch, median home sale prices jumped more than 15-percent, setting a record for the first quarter.
