Weekend Shooting Suspect Arrested Blocks From Shooting

Springfield police are investigating another shooting incident over the weekend.

 

Police reports say a man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident.

 

The suspected gunman in the case was reportedly being chased by three men near Fourth and Adams, and fired a shot at them, striking one man in the torso.

 

A Springfield police officer chased down the suspect, identified as James Williams, and arrested him a few blocks away.
