Minimum Wage Hike Bill Advances to Full Senate

Even with Illinois having the third highest minimum wage in the country, members of a senate committee voted in favor of raising the minimum wage in Illinois to just over $10 an hour.

 

Critics of the measure say that the proposed increase in minimum wage would cause some business to go out of business because of the increased cost.

 

The bill now heads to the full senate.
