Chinese Company Buys AMC Theaters, Including Springfield's

Springfield’s movie theatres are falling into Chinese hands.

 

The AMC Theatres chain, which operates all of Springfield’s indoor theatres among its 350 locations nationwide, has been purchased by a Chinese company, Dalian Wanda.

 

The two-point-six billion dollar deal creates the world’s largest theatre chain.

 

The AMC name and day-to-day operations of the theatre chain are not expected to change.
