Deadline Approaches For General Assembly

Illinois lawmakers are rushing to meet a Thursday deadline to wrap up their business for the year, but there is still plenty on their to-do lists.

 

While some components of a Medicaid reform plan have been approved, other pieces have not cleared both chambers.

 

And a controversial pension reform bill is still coming together. And an overall budget must also be approved.

 

Lawmakers cut their holiday weekend short in an effort to complete their work by Thursday.
