The deaths of two people found in a North End apartment on New Year’s Eve are now being characterized as a “double homicide.”
Authorities have not said how 24-year-old Larry Grice and 24-year-old Andrea Pocklington died. Autopsies will be conducted on both victims today.
Meanwhile, 2013 is off to a violent start in the city, with Springfield’s first homicide of the year occurring before daybreak on New Year’s Day.
24-year-old Deshawn Jones was fatally shot on the front porch of his residence on East Cedar.
Police have identified a suspect and are continuing to interview witnesses.
