The fight over concealed carry in Illinois is far from over.
Attorney General Lisa Madigan is asking the full 7th Circuit Court of Appeals for a rehearing on a ruling that struck down the state ban on carrying concealed firearms.
That ruling last month came from a three-judge panel, but Madigan says the decision contradicts or goes beyond other court rulings, and wants the full contingent of judges to weigh in.
The state remains under a 180-day deadline imposed by the three-judge panel to pass a law that allows citizens to carry concealed guns.
