At one point he talked about forcing outdoor music festivals in Springfield to turn off their amplified music by 9:30pm.
But now Mayor Mike Houston says he’s OK with a midnight curfew for amplified sound.
Houston’s original proposal drew a harsh backlash last year, and the mayor now says most people seem to be OK with letting the music play later.
But Houston does want an 11:30pm cutoff for alcohol sales at the outdoor events, which he says will make it easier to disperse the crowds in an orderly fashion.
