Parents, teachers and students continue to urge District 186 to spare their schools and preferred programs.
Tuesday’s school board meeting featured another long list of people warning of dire consequences from some of the district’s proposed budget cuts.
Teachers at Washington Middle School say the cuts that target them will harm student safety and academic performance.
And a number of people spoke out against plans to move the Douglas Alternative School into the same building that houses the Lawrence Education Center and other alternative programs.
The school board is scheduled to vote on the budget cuts on February 4th.
