More Counties Get Cameras in Courtroom, Not Sangamon

Three more Illinois counties will begin allowing cameras into courtrooms for media coverage of trials.

 

Lake, DeKalb and Kendall counties are the latest to join the pilot program.

 

So far about one-fourth of the state’s 102 counties have signed on to the cameras-in-the-courts project.

 

But Sangamon County still does not permit the practice.
