Early Morning Fire Ongoing

Springfield's Fire Department is still working to bring down an active house fire this hour.

 

Fire Chief Ken Fustin says that the call came in just before 5 am Thursday morning and the fire was fully involved when crews arrived.

 

Fustin says 5th Street south bound around the Enos area is blocked while crews work to contain the fire.

 

As of right now, Fustin says there are no injuries as the house appears to have been vacant.

 

Investigators are also on the scene at this time.
